Blue No Eyes is the third and final album in the Whip Divided series along with Tree Hive and Different Cushion That Walked. This and the other collections in the Whip Divided series, are the product of a busy few years in the studio where I've been experimenting with new instruments, alternative processes and generally refining my sound.

This double album was built from fragments and ideas that were not so obviously ready for release when I prepared the other two collections. Some of the tracks here are built on top of a single improvised recording or had to be carefully shaped from weird field recordings. The ideas were left to settle for a long time and it made more sense to release them as an extended pair rather than split them into two.

Indulgent and overblown, like some of my favourite albums, the next step was to pull out all the stops and get a limited run of 50 cassettes produced. Clocking in at 90 minutes, the album is better thought of as two halves and this format suits the music, tape noise and all. Reminiscent of my high school days, blasting rave tapes through whatever walkman I had at the time.

Furthermore, anyone buying the cassette will gain exclusive early access to Blue Third Eye, a bonus collection of reinterpretations from a wonderful group of friends and peers.
